Setting up your first workspace

Your workspace is created automatically when you sign up. It is the boundary for your members, connectors, provider accounts, grants, API keys, and activity history.

Configure the workspace

Open Workspace under Admin in the sidebar. Only workspace owners see this section.

Name and URL

Rename the workspace to your firm, team, client, or environment. Its URL slug is generated when the workspace is created and does not change when you rename it, so existing links keep working.

Logo

Upload a PNG, JPG, GIF, or WebP image up to 5 MB. You can replace or remove it later.

Timezone

Choose the timezone most relevant to the team. Accounting MCP uses it when displaying dates and times.

Prepare the people who need access

  1. Open Team under Admin and invite members.
  2. Open Groups under Admin if several members should receive the same connector access.
  3. Review roles and permissions. Workspace roles control administration; connector grants control which provider tools a member can use.

Configure the gateway

Follow the connectors, accounts, and access grants guide:

  1. Enable the connector.
  2. Add and verify the provider account.
  3. Grant the connector to individual members or groups and choose read-only, write, or destructive access.
  4. If the connector has multiple accounts, choose which account each grant should route to for its tiers.

Then ask each member to connect Claude or another MCP client. Everyone uses the same MCP URL, but workspace consent and live grants determine the tools available to that person.

Check the result

Open Activity under Gateway after the first MCP request. The activity log guide explains the status and timing metadata you can use to confirm or troubleshoot a connection.

Additional workspaces

Use the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar and choose Create workspace when you need a separate boundary for another team, client, or environment. Each workspace has its own connectors, credentials, grants, members, and activity.
